Printing Coloring Books

Updated: 1 day ago

Hi, I’m Arnold Patton, and I want to tell you about why having a printer at home is something I still treasure—especially when it comes to family. Years ago, when my kids were young, one of our favorite activities was making custom coloring books together. I’ve always loved drawing with Sharpies, creating fun, vibrant pictures that they would color in. I’d scan the drawings, print out copies, and we’d have afternoons filled with laughter and creativity. It was our special tradition.

Fast forward to today, and I’m eager to share that same experience with my grandkids. I imagined those same afternoons spent coloring together, making new memories. But a few months ago, that plan hit a bump. My old printer, which I’d used for years, finally broke down. I was printing some new drawings, ready to turn into a coloring book for my grandkids’ visit, when it stopped working.

I tried everything—restarting it, and checking the cables, but nothing worked. I have to admit, I was pretty frustrated. It wasn’t just a broken printer; it felt like I was losing the chance to bring back a family tradition. I started to worry that this simple but meaningful activity might be out of reach now.

Not ready to give up, I went online to look for a replacement. After a bit of searching, I came across the perfect solution—a refurbished version of the exact model I had been using for years. The price was great, the reviews were glowing, and I knew this was the answer. So, I ordered it right away.

When it arrived and I set it up, I was over the moon to see that it worked perfectly. It was like I had my old friend back, and I immediately got to work printing out new coloring books. Before long, I was ready for that next visit from my grandkids, eager to share the same joy I once had with their parents.

Now, I look forward to the days when they come over and we get to sit down together, crayons in hand, filling in the pages I’ve drawn. And who knows—maybe one day they’ll carry on this little tradition with their kids.

For me, having a printer at home isn’t just about convenience; it’s about family, creativity, and keeping those special moments alive. I’m grateful that I was able to find that refurbished printer online, and even more thankful that I can keep sharing this beloved activity with my grandkids, just like I did with my kids all those years ago.
