Setting up the Xerox C60/C70 D4A finisher can seem daunting, but with the right guidance, it becomes a straightforward process. This comprehensive guide walks you through every step of the installation, from connecting components to powering up the machine.




Step 1: Installing the Exit Tray and Booklet Maker

The installation begins with attaching two key components: the exit tray and the booklet maker tray.

  1. Position the Components: Lift the tray brackets and align the exit tray in place. Ensure the black tabs click securely to lock it into position.

  2. Secure the Connection: Push down firmly on the trays to clamp them in, ensuring stability during operation.



Step 2: Connecting Cables

Proper cable connections are critical for the finisher to operate seamlessly.

  1. Ethernet Plug for Conveyor Belt Tray: Align the three connection holes on the Ethernet plug and insert it securely into the designated slot.

  2. Back Panel Cables: Locate and retrieve hidden cords if necessary. Connect the black power cord and additional cables to their respective ports, ensuring a snug fit.

Step 3: Attaching the Finisher to the Copier

  1. Connect the Cables: Attach the screen and scanner cables to their designated ports, ensuring they fit snugly.
